Florian Leibert is the founding chief executive officer of the high tech software company Mesosphere. In this position he has partnered with a number of clients to establish effective, data-centric business cultures while also leading premiere open source initiatives such as Chronos. Prior to launching Mesosphere Florian Leibert, known also as Flo, spent time as a technical lead and software engineer for Twitter in San Francisco, California, and as a technical lead and architect at Airbnb. As a software specialist with that firm, he designed the data infrastructure team responsible for all Airbnb analytics products.

Flo Leibert has filed five patent applications, three of which have been approved (and a fourth is currently pending). He has authored numerous papers on subjects such as distributed computing and data mining. One of these papers "Automatic Management of Partitioned, Replicated Search Services" was selected for the proceedings of the 2nd ACM Symposium on Cloud Computing in 2011. It was the basis for the architecture of Twitter's elastic search infrastructure.
